Build Your Own Mars Helicopter (Grades 3 - 5)
Friday, February 173:30—4:30 PMLarge Meeting RoomCary Memorial Library1874 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420
NASA sent helicopter to Mars! This helicopter is called Ingenuity and is designed to test whether or not flight is a good way to study distant bodies in space. We have sent spacecraft to other planets, but this is the first aircraft that flew on another world. In this activity, you will learn about this amazing feat of engineering as you build your own Mars helicopter model using paper, sticks and marshmallows with the help of local NASA Ambassador Sangeeta Gautam.
