Cary Lecture Series: Chef and Activist - Jody Adams

Wednesday, November 178:00—9:30 PMVirtual

Jody Adams is the talented chef and founder of Boston restaurant icons Rialto, Porto, TRADE and Saloniki. She has won broad acclaim for her cuisine including the James Beard Award for best chef in the Northeast. But as the COVID-19 pandemic pummeled the restaurant world, Adams joined with fellow restauranteurs to form Massachusetts Restaurant United, advocating for policies to help local eateries survive. She also repurposed one of her restaurants into a soup kitchen to serve the community. Adams is active in Share Our Strength, a non-profit focused on ending hunger and poverty. We talk with Jody about being the boss in the kitchen, the future of restaurants and her favorite high-brow and low-brow recipes.
