Join us for a presentation on the latest in diagnosing and treating Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias with Jatin Dave, MD, MPH and Michael Gulliver Erkkinen, MD.

Michael Gulliver Erkkinen, MD is a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School and currently serves as the Clinical Director of the Division of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He completed undergraduate studies at Amherst College and received his medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Erkkinen completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, residency in Neurology at the combined Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Program, and fellowships in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He previously served as the Clinical Director at the UCSF Memory Aging Center before returning to the Brigham in October 2022.

Dr. Erkkinen is clinically focused and specializes in caring for adults with cognitive and behavioral symptoms. He teaches trainees across the spectrum of medical education, including medical students, residents, fellows, and his peers. He is interested in understanding brain-behavior relationships, in particular speech/language disorders and the neurology of creative expression. He oversees the clinical efforts in this area and leads initiatives designed to improve the quality of care delivered and patient experience.

Jatin K. Dave, MD, MPH

Chief Medical Officer, MassHealth; Director, Office of Clinical Affairs, For Health Consulting at U Mass Chan Medical School. Associate Professor, Population and Quantitative Health Science, U Mass Chan Medical School

In his dual medical leadership roles, Dr. Dave is the primary clinical liaison between MassHealth (Massachusetts Medicaid) and For Health Consulting at U Mass Chan Medical School, emphasizing the close working relationship between the organizations. Dr. Dave is a practicing clinician (Internist, Geriatrician and Hospice and Palliative Care Specialist) with Tufts Medicine and is a member of the Medical-Scientific Committee of the New England Alzheimer’s Association.

Previously, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Dave served as both a primary care physician and consultant geriatrician, as well as director of education. While there, he received the Geriatric Academic Career Award and the Clinical Innovation Award.

After his training in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Dave completed a general internal medicine fellowship at New York University. Dr. Dave then completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Harvard University. He also received a master’s degree in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health and earned a bachelor's degree in medicine and in surgery at Gujarat University in Gujarat, India.
