VIRTUAL - Hiking the Northeast's Trails: From Start to Summit
Wednesday, January 287:00—8:00 PMVirtual
Want to start winter hiking, but don't know where to begin? Join us for a virtual talk where Olivia shares how she got started, what she wished she knew as a beginner, how she plans and packs for trips (both local and regional), and her favorite trails to consider this winter—whether you’re new to hiking, or looking for your next challenge.
After her first trip to New Hampshire's White Mountains, Olivia Migacz was sold. She moved to New England from Texas soon after, and it wasn't long before she began to take on the area's famous 4,000 foot peaks. Through that initial experience, she quickly learned what she wished she had on trail, and with each experience in the mountains came new lessons learned. Since then, she's hiked all 115 Northeast 4,000 footers, thru-hiked the Northville-Placid Trail, and last summer, completed the Northeast Ultra 8.
