Intro to Financial Independence

Even with the abundance of advice on individual personal finance topics, how do you know that you are on your way to financial independence? In this workshop, we will discuss what financial independence means as it relates to building an emergency fund, creating wealth by investing, and saving for college and retirement. This workshop will provide you with an overview of the building blocks of personal finance,  demystify financial jargon, and provide you with resources to measure and map your financial success. Come ready to learn and ask questions.

Instructor Bio:
Sumeit Aggarwal is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Finhive, a social enterprise dedicated to providing financial education to communities and small businesses. She is a Nearpod Certified Educator, an award-winning student engagement platform.  Sumeit earned her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University, MBA from Babson College and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University. She was recently featured by Babson for fighting the gender investment gap.
