Kids Cooking Green presents: Chocolate Peppermint Cookies for Grades 3 - 5

Chocolate peppermint cookies are fun to make, pretty to look at, and delicious to eat! Join our friends from Kids Cooking Green and learn how to make these delicious treats to put a little sparkle in your winter menu.
We'll provide all the ingredients you need to cook, you'll need to provide the following supplies from your kitchen:
- 2 Medium Bowls
- Long handled spoon to stir
- Fork for creaming soften butter with sugar
- Sheet pan for baking in oven
- Oven mitts
- Spoon to drop dough onto sheet pans
- Something heavy to smash the peppermint candies
- Spatula to remove cookies from baking pan to allow to cool
An adult caregiver must be present to supervise. Ingredient supply packages will be available for pick up from Kids Cooking Green on Thursday, January 20th between 8 am and 5 pm, or by other arrangement with Kids Cooking Green prior to Thursday January 20th. Any kits not picked up by 5 pm on Thursday will forfeit their space in the class.
Registration required. Registration begins at 7 pm on Monday January 10th. In order to allow the most kids to participate, please only register once for your family to receive 1 supply kit and have all chefs in your household cook together. A few days after registration, you'll receive an email with detailed instructions on how to pick up your ingredient supply kit.
If your child becomes unable to attend this program, please notify the library as soon as possible. Repeated 'no-shows' without notification may prohibit your child from registering for future programs
