Kids Cooking Green Presents: Cranberry Upside Down Mini Cake (Grades K - 2)*

Join our friends from Kids Cooking Green and learn to make this fall treat!

We'll provide all the ingredients necessary, you provide the following supplies from your kitchen:

Supplies needed:

  • Measuring Cups and Measuring Spoons
  • Fork, to cream butter and sugar
  • 6 inch baking pan (provided for you today)
  • 2 small bowls to crack eggs in to
  • Long handled wooden spoon
  • 1 medium size mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula to scrap down the sides of the bowl, and get every bit of batter into our baking pan
  • 1 Flat baking sheet pan to place our cake pan on to safely carry our pan to and from the oven
  • Dinner knife to run along the edges of the cooked cake
  • Dinner sized serving plate to invert and serve your cake
  • Flour sifter, Optional
  • Apron
  • Oven mitt

Kit pick up will be from Kids Cooking Green on Thursday November 18th, Time 8 am - 5 pm.

Registration required. Sign up online beginning  Monday, November 8th at 7 pm. In order to allow the most kids to participate, please only register once for your family to receive 1 supply kit and have all chefs in your household cook together. A few days after registration, you'll receive an email with detailed instructions on how to pick up your ingredient supply kit.

 If your child becomes unable to attend this program, please notify the library as soon as possible. Repeated 'no-shows' without notification may result in your child's removal from the club and may prohibit your child from registering for future programs.
