Kids Cooking Green presents: Garlic Knots for Grades K - 2

Come join our friends from Kids Cooking Green and learn how to make a batch of quick yeasted dough, then roll, twist into a knot and bake!

We'll provide all the ingredients you need to cook, you'll need to provide the following supplies from your kitchen:

  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • Kitchen thermometer (if you have one, if not no worries) 
  • 2 medium sized bowls
  • 1 Long handled wooden spoon, to mix
  • Cutting board and knife or garlic press
  • Small fry pan or sauce pan to melt butter
  • Baking pan
  • Oven mitts
  • Apron
  • Pastry brush (if you have one) or a fork will do

An adult caregiver must be present to supervise. Ingredient supply packages will be available for pick up from Kids Cooking Green on Thursday, December 16th between 8 am and 5 pm, or by other arrangement with Kids Cooking Green prior to Thursday December 16th.  Any kits not picked up by 5 pm on Thursday will forfeit their space in the class.

Registration required. Registration begins at 7 pm on Monday December 6th. In order to allow the most kids to participate, please only register once for your family to receive 1 supply kit and have all chefs in your household cook together. A few days after registration, you'll receive an email with detailed instructions on how to pick up your ingredient supply kit.

 If your child becomes unable to attend this program, please notify the library as soon as possible. Repeated 'no-shows' without notification may prohibit your child from registering for future programs.
