Learn Korean Brush Painting using an illustration-style technique. Artist Minhee Kim will discuss the characteristics of ink and rice paper, and explain the process of "three steps gradation." Attendees will create a lovely brushwork painting using a three-dimensional method. No painting experience is necessary to learn this technique.

Minhee Kim majored in Korean painting in Korea. Coming from a family who majored in Western and Korean art, she has been painting since the age of 9, learning early on about the Four Gracious Plants (plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, and bamboo).  Minhee worked at a Korean art gallery and was an art teacher for adult students. She is a member of the Korean Cultural Society of Boston's Art Committee.
