Meet FOUR Indie YA Authors (gr 6+)

Tuesday, January 317:00—8:30 PMVirtual

Three indie authors (Lina C. Amarego, Cass Maren, & Meg Mayor) will join indie author, moderator, and Lexington teen, Lucy Gould, for a virtual panel discussion exploring the process of writing and self-publishing.  Registration is required to participate. This program is open to tweens, teens and adults.

Lina C. Amarego

Growing up on the east coast in small-town New Jersey, Lina spent her early days playing pretend and making up stories for her friends and family. Little did they know, that pastime would soon turn into a lifelong passion for storytelling in all of its forms. While she is a family therapist by profession, she is a writer at heart. When she is not scribbling ideas about fictional worlds into the margins of her notebooks, Lina spends her time reading anything she can get her hands on, driving her husband crazy with her wild daydreams, and snuggling her adorable pups. Lina founded Silver Wheel Press in 2020 as a publishing label for her own debut novel, Daughter of the Deep (an IndieBrag recipient), and the rest of the Children of Lyr Trilogy. Silver Wheel Press remains dedicated to supporting quality stories told with authenticity, creativity, and just enough fantasy to keep the daydreams alive.

Cass Maren

Cass Maren is a U.S. author of fantasy adventures steeped in rich world-building. Her depth of imagination and extensive studies of history and lore mix realism and the ethereal into her immersive fantasy worlds. Born and raised in the sweltering wilds of Florida, Cass has been sharing her love of storytelling since she could hold a pencil. She shares her passion for life and adventure with her husband, Nick and their two pups. When not writing, she channels her creativity into photography, design and painfully curated aesthetics. Writing is her lifeblood, and she feels most at home with a blank page, a rainy day, and cup of hot tea. Her greatest wish is to share her stories with the world in hopes that they can bring as much joy to someone as they bring to her.

Meg Mayor

Meg Mayor is an eighteen year old university student who has a passion for writing. They are double majoring in Women & Gender Studies and English, with a minor in social justice. They have self-published 5 books, four novels and one poetry collection.

Lucy Gould

Lucy Gould is a teen author from Massachusetts. She has been reading and writing for as long as she can remember and can’t imagine her life without literature. She can usually be found cuddling with her cat, Lily, in an effort to avoid her current project or reading obsessively (also in an effort to avoid her current project). She is the author of the Tales of Neverland series, book one (The Rescue) now available.

Registration for this event has now closed.
