OFFSITE - Firefly Walk with Christopher Cratsley

Wednesday, July 68:30—9:30 PMOffsite Location

This event has been rescheduled to July 6 at 8:30pm due to the inclement weather.

This program is presented in partnership with Lexington Living Landscapes.

Were you inspired by the talk Dr. Cratsley gave recently on fireflies? Would you like to see them in nature with Dr. Cratsley as your guide? Join us at Willards Woods as we observe the magic of fireflies up close and learn about their natural history and conservation. If you didn’t see Dr. Cratsley’s talk on June 27, you can watch it here.

To join the walk, park in the Willards Woods lot off North Street (drive slowly--the driveway is bumpy!); the entrance is approximately opposite the mailbox at 40 North Street, Lexington, MA. We will begin at the fire rings in the old apple orchard about 100 yards in on the trail. Be sure to bring a flashlight for walking on uneven ground in the dark. Long pants and sleeves and insect repellent are recommended.

Please register below to receive news of any postponement due to weather or any other last-minute changes.

Co-sponsored by the Lexington Conservation Division.
