Learn to tell your compelling, personal, true story in front of a live audience, in the tradition of The Moth, Stories from the Stage, and Lexington’s own Voices on the Green.
In this free, introductory 90-minute workshop, you will hear examples of successful stories, learn to find your own story through a series of fun exercises, explore how to structure a story, and have an opportunity to present your story to the group.
Registration is required.
Instructors:
Suzanne Ketchum Adams has been a resident of Lexington for 26 years. She serves as Storytelling Director of Voices on the Green, Lexington’s Storytelling and Music series, where she first told a story in 2017 and has since coached many others to tell their own stories. Suzanne has told stories at The Moth, Stories from the Stage, MassMouth, and Fugitive Stories, and she is currently at work on a novel.
In retirement, Deb Jacoby-Twigg is focusing on storytelling, both on stage and in a book she is writing— the stories of her life. Before retiring, Deb worked in public service, corporate management, teaching and consulting. She lives in Lexington with her wife and dachshund Lenny. They have two sons in college.
Presented in partnership with Cary Library and Voices on the Green.
