**OFFSITE LOCATION** This program will be presented at Lexington Community Farm, LexFarm Education Tent, 52 Lowell Street, Lexington

It's Eat Local Month! Join us for a Zero Waste Cooking Demo!

Lori Deliso, of Kids Cooking Green, will take the group through how to cook with farm fresh food, and move towards a zero waste cooking standard within our homes. Lori will share her tips & tricks and recipes, on how to prep, store and cook to make the most of your CSA haul, grocery trip and all those goodies in your fridge that you just hate seeing go to waste!

As co-founder of Lexington Farmer’s Market and co-founder and owner of Kids Cooking Green, that teaches students about nutrition and the positive impact eating locally can have on our environment and our bodies through cooking classes and presentations, Lori brings a wealth of teaching experience for both kids and their families.

As a great resource to support this workshop you can order the cookbook Perfectly Good Food by sisters Margaret Li and Irene Li, founders of Mei Mei Dumplings, from Maxima (order link coming soon!). Maxima will also have copies on hand to purchase and Center Goods will have copies to loan out throughout the month of August.

Workshop is free but registration is required. Space is limited.

Copies of the book are available for purchase through Maxima Book Center.

This workshop is brought to the community as a collaboration between Cary Library, Center Goods, Kids Cooking Green, Lexington Community Farm, and the Lexington Zero Waste Collaborative.
