VIRTUAL - Introduction to the Oxford African American Studies Center Online Resource

Wednesday, March 137:00—8:00 PMVirtual

The Cary Library recently sent out an announcement about the acquisition of a new online resource, the Oxford African American Studies Center.  This collection of materials will serve researchers, teachers, students, organizations and citizens who wish to expand their knowledge of important figures and events in African and African American history from the ancient world to the present.

In response to requests, we are pleased to offer a session to introduce new users to this resource.  We will provide a demonstration of the main features, how to do different kinds of searches, and explore supplementary material such as maps, videos and timelines.  This resource can be accessed by everyone who is inside the library building, and at home by those who live or work in Lexington.

We look forward to sharing this new resource with you!

Registration is required. This program will be recorded.

This program is made possible by the generous donors to the Cary Library Foundation.

Registration for this event has now closed.
