Join us for our next installment of our Poetry Series. This evening's readers will include Cammy Thomas, Gloria Mindock, and Joyce Swagerty.

Cammy Thomas’s latest collection, Tremors, received Poetry Honors from the 2022 Mass Book Awards, and was named a Distinguished Favorite in the 2022 NYC Big Book Awards. Her first book, Cathedral of Wish, received the Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America. A fellowship from the Ragdale Foundation helped her complete her second, Inscriptions. All are published by Four Way Books. Poems have recently appeared in Lily Poetry ReviewOn the Seawall, Pangyrus, Sixth FinchSolstice, and elsewhere. Her poem, Far Past War, was the text for a choral work by her sister, composer Augusta Read Thomas, which was premiered by the Cathedral Choral Society in 2022. She lives in Bolton, Massachusetts.

Gloria Mindock is editor of Červená Barva Press. She is an award-winning author of 6 poetry collections, 3 chapbooks and a children’s book. Her poems have been published and translated into eleven languages. Her recent book is ASH (Glass Lyre Press, 2021) won 7 book awards and was translated into Serbian by Milutin Durickovic and published by Alma Press in Belgrade. Gloria was the Poet Laureate in Somerville, MA in 2017 and 2018.

Joyce Swagerty is an activist educator and writer whose business enterprise, Your Fresh Horse LLC, advances critical and creative thinking with learners of all ages. Joyce uses her poetry and the group writing projects she facilitates to connect people, embrace diversity, and inspire personal transformation. Her most recent art venture, Stoneroot Epistle: Poetry and Collage in Conversation, was an opening exhibition for Harvard University’s Arnold Arboretum 150th Anniversary Celebration in 2022. Joyce lives in Burlington, Massachusetts.
