Emergent and independent readers are invited to practice reading aloud to Lyric, the therapy dog. Bring your book of choice and build confidence with a nonjudgmental listener who won't interrupt!

• Register now for a 10 minute time slot at 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 or 7:15 pm.
• Only the child registered to read to Lyric will be able to enter the room (one parent may accompany the child if necessary).
• Please arrive 5 minutes ahead of your assigned time slot to check in with Library staff.
• You will need to have your reading selection in hand at the time you arrive to check in.
• 5 minutes after your start time, you will be considered a "no show" and your remaining time will be offered to another child. You will not receive additional time if you are late.

By registering for this program, you agree to hold the Cary Library and the volunteer harmless from and against any claim that arises out of your child’s participation.

Cancellations must be received by 4 pm the day of the event so that we can notify a child on the waiting list of the available time slot. Failure to cancel will result in you being unable to register for the following session. Repeated 'no-shows' without notification may prohibit your child from registering for future programs.
