Virtual Book Talks Book Club (Grades 4- 6)
Monday, February 77:00—8:00 PMVirtual
Young people throughout history have stood up for what they believed in and fought for their rights and their freedom. Book Talks encourages readers through novels and nonfiction to take steps to becoming a citizen of the wider world and seeing a broader perspective. We will be reading stories that offer a differing perspective of the world from how we may experience it and talking about what that means. We will be discussing issues such as human rights, diversity, and current events as they relate to the books we read. We will talk about what kids can do to help make the world a better place for everyone. Parents are welcome to read and join the discussion.
The book for the meeting will be available for pick up in the Children's Room. Instructions on how to participate in the program will be sent the day prior to the program.
When you sign up, you are registered for the entire session (Meeting Dates: 1/3, 2/7, 3/7, 4/4, 5/2, 6/6 at 7pm). If your child becomes unable to attend this program, please notify the library as soon as possible. Repeated 'no-shows' without notification may result in your child's removal from the club and may prohibit your child from registering for future programs.
Registration for this event has now closed.
