VIRTUAL - Exploring the Connecticut Lakes with Bill Gette

Thursday, August 87:00—8:00 PMVirtual

The Connecticut Lakes Region is located in the northern-most part of New Hampshire and is the source of the Connecticut River. The cultural grasslands, Boreal forests, and extensive wetlands of this region support an incredibly diversity of wildlife, including birds, mammals, wildflowers, and butterflies. Bill Gette has led 20 natural history travel programs to this region in June.

During his lecture, Bill will take you on a virtual tour along forestry roads to visit Indian Stream, Terrell Pond, Moose Falls Flowage, Scott Bog, East Inlet, First Connecticut Lake, and other exciting locations. Bill will also show you photographs of Moose, Canadian Tiger Swallowtail, and a variety of wildflowers. Throughout his talk, Bill will provide maps and trip planning ideas, so you can plan a Connecticut Lakes adventure on your own.

Registration is required to attend. You will receive the Zoom link upon registration. Please send any questions to caryprograms@minlib.net
