VIRTUAL - Native Ferns and Wildflowers for Shade Gardens with Leslie Duthie
Tuesday, February 47:00—8:15 PMVirtual

Shade can be a problem when you garden. It seems like so many plants are sun lovers, what is a gardener to do? This program will focus on native plants, ferns and flowers, that grow well in shade and make great combinations to brighten up the darker parts of any garden.
Leslie Duthie is a retired ecological horticulturist. She worked for over 45 years with native plants, growing, planting and caring for many native species. She has a wealth of experience to share with audiences and is always willing to provide advice and tips on growing native species (they evolved here, they are the easiest to grow!). Leslie is the president of the Opacum Land Trust, serves on the board at the Ecological Landscape Alliance, and volunteers in her spare time at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill.
