VIRTUAL - Navigating Grief During the Holidays
Thursday, November 141:00—2:00 PMVirtual
Join us for a supportive virtual program presented by Cary Library in collaboration with Lexington Human Services. This program is designed to help adults manage grief during the holiday season.
The holiday season can be especially difficult when you’re grieving. The usual celebrations, family gatherings, and traditions often amplify feelings of loss, making it a time when emotions can feel overwhelming. However, planning ahead and preparing for the season can help ease your anxiety and create moments of meaning amidst the challenges.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore various resources aimed at coping with grief, including practical strategies, community support options, and self-care techniques. We are pleased to welcome Heather Stang, MA, C-IAYT, author of Living With Grief: Mindful Meditations and Self-Care Strategies for Navigating Loss, as our guest speaker. Heather will share her expertise and personal insights on navigating grief during this challenging time. Together, we’ll discuss how to navigate holiday traditions, honor loved ones, and create new practices that can bring comfort.
Registration is required.
