VIRTUAL - Cooking from the Garden

Tuesday, August 307:00—8:00 PMVirtual

You’ve worked hard planting and tending your garden all spring and summer, now it’s time to reap the benefits.  Join Katie Walter to learn delicious recipes featuring late summer produce.  This is a great class for beginning gardeners who are wondering how to use their new garden vegetables, as well as for seasoned gardeners who are looking for new and delicious ways to use up their bumper crops (like zucchini).  Even if you don’t have a vegetable garden, recipes will feature produce that is available at farmer’s markets, CSA’s and local grocery stores at this time of year.

About Katie Walter:

Katie Walter is the owner of Two Aprons Cookery, and I enjoy food – cooking it, eating it, traveling for it, reading about it and writing about it. I cook simply, from scratch and seasonally.  I’m passionate about composting and running a less-waste, sustainable kitchen. I’ve been teaching cooking classes out of my home – first in London and now in Lexington, Massachusetts – for nearly 10 years. In my past lives I’ve co-authored a cookbook titled “Some Like it Hot” (Chronicle Books, 2005) and put in time at America’s Test Kitchen in Boston.

In partnership with the Town of Lexington’s Sustainability & Resilience Office.  Registration is required for this virtual event.
